Title: Applying models to simulations in healthcare
Abstract: Differentiating between modeling and simulation, examples will be provided of the application of mathematical and spatial models to drive online simulations as well as physical simulators for training in healthcare. Development and verification of internally-developed models for clinical plausibility will be described as well as the use and clinical validation of external models. Visualization as a tool to externalize model outputs in online simulations or mixed reality simulators will also be demonstrated.
