Abstract: This lecture focuses on leveraging Pharmacokinetic/Pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) modeling to optimize the therapy of anti-infectives, emphasizing the utilization of in vitro PK/PD models to simulate optimal dosing strategies for antifungal, antituberculosis (TB) and antimalarial drugs. The discussion underscores the significance of personalized dosing regimens tailored to individual patient characteristics and infection types, aiming for improved therapeutic outcomes and reduced development of drug resistance.
