Title: Application of uncertainty quantification and sensitivity analysis methods to quantitative pharmacology models

Abstract: To achieve utility of quantitative mechanistic models for critical decision making requires gaining improved confidence in model-based predictions. Sensitivity analysis and uncertainty quantification methods are critical tools towards achieving the goal. Here, I will present an overview of some of the methods and their applications to address different pharmacology questions. In particular, I will provide examples of application of the methods for constructing virtual populations of models consistent with observed pre-clinical/clinical data, identifying ion-channels critical to drug-induced cardiotoxicity, elucidating possible drug mechanisms of action, etc.
